Hyderabad, Nov. 4: The United States-India Educational Foundation (USIEF), in collaboration with the Institute of International Education (IIE), is organizing a U.S. Universities Fair on November 6 in Hyderabad.

Representatives from 22 U.S. universities will participate in the fair to offer detailed information about their academic programs.

WARANGAL/HYDERABAD: Mohammed Nazir, who had killed P Swati, a final-year engineering student who rejected his overtures, was found dead under suspicious circumstances on the railway tracks in Hasanparthy mandal in Warangal district on Sunday.
Though Nazir’s parents smelt something foul in their son’s death, police maintained that the accused committed suicide, fearing arrest.

Meanwhile, the condition of Lakshman, another jilted lover who slit his own throat after murdering a girl, Rafia, at Kamareddy in Nizamabad district on Saturday, is said to be serious and he was shifted to Gandhi Hospital.

An English newspaper has today published a report that 15 young MLAs of the party from Telangana were gifted high end SUVs a few days ago when they threatened to leave the party.
The cost of the Toyota Fortuner vehicle gifted to each of them is a whopping Rs. 25 lakhs, the report said.

HYDERABAD: NTR Memorial Trust will conduct a Swara Veda music concert on November 11. Speaking to reporters on Saturday, managing trustee N Chandrababu Naidu said the music concert was intended to spread awareness on charity as way of life.He said the proceeds from the concert would be spent on education activities of the NTR Trust. Naidu said 11 celebrated instrumentalists would participate in the programme synchronising with end of the World War I on November 11, 1918.

Three Congress MLAs, one of them an associate member of the ruling party, resigned from the Congress on Sunday and joined the Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS).

They said that a separate Telangana will not be a reality as long as they continue in the party. The former minister and Kollapur MLA, Mr Jupally Krishna Rao, Station Ghanpur MLA, Dr Tadikonda Rajaiah and the Ramagundam indep-endent-cum-Congress associate MLA, Mr Somarapu Satyanarayana, announced their resignation from the party and communicated their decision to the PCC chief, Mr Botsa Satyanarayana, through fax.

 6 arrested in Kondapur shootout case

HYDERABAD: The Cyberabad police on Saturday arrested six members of a gang involved in the shootout in Kondapur some days ago.

Addressing a press conference here, Cyberabad police commissioner Ch Dwaraka Tirumala Rao said the kingpin of the 10-member gang was Jagadish Bantu Talla alias Talla Ravi, who got injured during the exchange of fire in Kondapur on October 5.
