HYDERABAD: The 16 {+t} {+h} National Scouts and Guides jamboree concluded here on Saturday amidst a call for compulsory education of all children by CM Kiran Kumar Reddy. “Education will stand you in good stead through thick and thin,” he told the large gathering of Scouts at Shankarpally in Ranga Reddy district.
The jamboree camp looked like a mini township with 2,500 tents spread over 350 acres. Scouts numbering 18,000 including 100 from Nepal, Bangladesh and France presented an enthralling culture programme. It was a gap of 57 years that Andhra Pradesh was hosting a jamboree.
