Dec. 30: The first full fledged Cabinet meeting chaired by the Chief Minister, Mr N. Kiran Kumar Reddy, on Thursday saw all the ministers, including some known for their whimsical comments on senisitive issues and picking up quarrels on regional lines, remaining silent even on deployment of paramilitary forces and withdrawal of cases against the agitators.

Naidu becomes pro-farmer

GUNTUR: Chandrababu Naidu wants to fight for the farmers till his last breath. In a major shift from his tech-savvy image when he was the CM for nine years, the TDP president now promises to set up a separate fund for farmers and their welfare if his party is elected to power.

Sabitha Indra Reddy, Home minister of Andhra Pradesh said that Recent cases on students on behalf of Separate Telangana and United Andhra Pradesh agitations will be removed, she said that around 8000 students will be free from cases.

Later she will be going to the MP's Hunger strike camp and requests them to stop hunger strike which they were siting since yesterday.

TDP President Naidu's health stable

Hyderabad, Dec 24 : TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu's health condition remained stable this morning as doctors at a hospital continued to administer intravenous fluids to the fasting leader. Naidu is on an indefinite hunger-strike for the eighth day today to demand better compensation for farmers whose crops have been damaged in the recent rains in the state.

With the government giving just about Rs 5.50 per day for each student, the hostel authorities are struggling to meet the “menu” drafted by the officials.

HYDERABAD: A partially burnt body of an unidentified person was found at Kulsumpura on Sunday morning. Police said the assailants strangled the victim (50) to death and later burnt the body with petrol. Some persons known to the victim could have murdered him. The incident came to light when residents noticed the body and alerted police.
