Jan. 14: In a new twist to Maddelacheruvu Suri’s murder case, the widow of slain factionist, Ms Gangula Bhanumati, on Friday alleged that the TDP president, N. Chandrababu Naidu, was instrumental in her husband’s murder. Suri was the prime suspect in the murder of TD MLA from Anantapur, Mr.Paritala Ravindra.
Ms Bhanumati alleged that Mr Naidu had assigned Bhanu Kiran, Suri's close aide, to kill him. Demanding Naidu to own up the responsibility of eliminating Suri, Ms Bhanumati also blamed Paritala Ravi’s family members for Suri’s murder. Demanding a CBI inquiry into Suri's murder, Bhanumati said that she has lost faith in the state police after the cops failed to arrest Bhanu Kiran.
