Hyderabad, Feb 9 : Congress MLA Konda Surekha, a die-hard supporter of former party MP Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, today criticised Congress leadership over the merger of Chiranjeevi's Praja Rajyam with Congress.
In a letter to Sonia Gandhi, she took exception to the party inviting Chiranjeevi into Congress as he had criticised the party earlier.
She also criticised the Congress leadership for allegedly going back on the promise to form separate Telangana and dilly-dallying on the matter by appointing the Sri Krishna committee.
Surekha, who was a minister in the Y S Rajasekhara Reddy government, quit the Cabinet after the party leadership did not make his son Jagan the Chief Minister.
Meanwhile, state Congress leaders, including minister J Geeta Reddy, took exception to the outburst of Surekha saying that she lacked the stature to criticise the party leadership.
