Hyderabad, Jan 23 : Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy today said the government is giving top priority to the health sector.
Speaking after inaugurating privately-run Beams Hospital here, he said the government is spending Rs 1,000 crore towards surgeries of 2.5 to 3 lakh people in the state every year.
He said government hospitals are being strengthened by providing more beds, medical infrastructure and doctors while private hospitals are also getting support from the state government through the 'Arogya Sri' health insurance scheme.
